Really enjoyed this anthology. 100 New Zealanders who are famous or notable for something (writers, politicians, judges, actors, etc) each selected their favourite poem. Their letters about why the poems are meaningful to them are also included. It's a really interesting range, from the classical to local poems. Quite a few by James K. Baxter (NZ's most famous poet). I love anthologies like this - they manage to pick out the most meaningful poems, sometimes from obscure places. ( )
