Another hit from Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin. Seriously, I don’t think you can go wrong with this duo. This time, they’ve created a counting book that revolves around a mysterious outing. The reason for the outing is not revealed until the final page, but I giggled… and then went back to the beginning to catch the clues I’d missed. Very clever, and a fun number review. ( )

Duck is at it again! He and the other animals want to go fishing but in reverse. They have to sneak away from Farmer Brown, but they do leave a thoughtfully typed note. Along the way, the reader lears numbers and counting. ( )

Great counting story, duck releases goldfish to the wild. ( )

My daughter and son loved watching the animals sneak in Farmer Brown’s house, tricking him while he slept. The illustrations, similar to Sandra Boyntons’ are silly and evoke giggles and laughter as the animals fulfill their mission. ( )
