The nursery rhymes and lullabies of galloping horses, singing birds, sleeping children, and playground games come from all the world, such as France, Australia, Russia, Puerto Rico, China, Sweden, Japan, Spain, Trinidad, and Nigeria. Some of the nursery rhymes are printed both in their original language and English translation, while some include instructions for finger games.
The target audience is ages 4-8. I selected the book because it is multicultural. I enjoyed reading them these pleasant nursery rhymes and lullabies from other countries. The book provides me with a sense of what nursery rhymes are like in other countries. I had a lot of fun.
