Beautiful miniature scenes, just as in other "I Spy" books. We have enjoyed searching for the objects; it's time now for someone else to spy away. I Spy books are always fun for a quick look. This is my favorite "I Spy" book. Instead of a different subject for each two-page spread, the reader (treasure hunter) follows clues throughout the book, with one picture leading to the next. For example, "Three dogs, two fishhooks, a broken oar, a needle, a spool, and the TREASURE CHEST store." is followed by the store's window display which includes a map, and so on, ending with the treasure of course! Very clever! no reviews | add a review

Children will love to pursue the mystery of the pirate's hidden treasure, narrowing their search with every delightfully cluttered page. Looking for an additional challenge? Try the extra-credit riddles. For the inspired reader, Wick and Marzollo also include pages on how to create I Spy riddles and pictures. (Ages 3 to 8) --Emilie Coulter
