The flimsiness and lack of criticality in many of the arguments presented in this book cross the line from ignorance into dishonesty. Maybe it's just me, but if you present a fallacious argument (even if it's in support of some other truth), and you know the argument to be fallacious, simply for the purpose of convincing another person to have the beliefs you want them to have, isn't that lying?
