A remarkable work of art and engineering. Gasps of surprise and joy abound as each new image breaks free.

Alice is sitting under a tree with her sister, bored. She follows a white rabbit down a hole and ends up in Wonderland. She has a series of adventures with growing, shrinking, strange creatures, and a crazy queen. She finally wakes up and realizes it was all a dream.

Summary- Alice falls down into a hole and finds herself in another world. She meets very unique and interesting characters and seems to go through many strange experiences. The story never slows down and there is always something crazy going on it seems like. I think it is a very great book filled with endless possibilities.

Personal Reaction- There is a lot to love about this book. It is filled with creativity and imagination through a whole different world. Alice meets so many different characters throughout the story and experiences many strange things. It is a fun book to read and has amazing illustrations.

Classroom Extensions- Have the class answer different trivia questions about the book.
Have the class imagine what happens next in the story and tell about their ideas. ( )

This book is a beautiful pop up and has the exact story of Alice, a story originally by Lewis Carroll. This book has multiple textures, vibrant colors, and exciting pop ups. Definitely not a book i would just give to a kid to go through, must be handled with care. ( )

Dedication
For my sister, Wendy, who fell down a hole too, but had the strength and courage to find her way back out again.
First words
Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank and of having nothing to do: once or twice she had peeped into the book her sister was reading, but it had no pictures or conversations in it, "and what is the use of a book," thought Alice, "without pictures or conversations?"

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0689847432, Hardcover)

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is Robert Sabuda's most amazing creation ever, featuring stunning pop-ups illustrated in John Tenniel's classic style. The text is faithful to Lewis Carroll's original story, and special effects like a Victorian peep show, multifaceted foil, and tactile elements make this a pop-up to read and admire again and again.
