This is book 2 in the series (and I highly recommend you start with book 1). Secret agent Eli Trudeau is grieving the loss of his wife and child, until he finally discovers that his child never died, but is being raised by his best friend's sister, Gena Malone, in Maine. Eli sets out to take back his son, but didn't figure on the feisty Gena who has no intentions of letting "her" son go! Then the "bad guys" find them in Maine and they must all run for their lives! From here on out it gets fast paced and keeps you wanting to read it to the end, all in one setting. So give yourself a good block of time to read, because you won't want to put it down until you finish! ( )

The second book in the Secret Agent Series was just as exciting as the first. Eli Trudeau shows up on Gena Malone's door step to see his son. Gena is a little apprehensive about Eli after all she's heard about him from her brother, Devon. (from book 1). But, she does think that he deserves to know his son and they begin to get to know each other. Then trouble starts and they realize that someone is after them. Who is it and why are they after them?

The book is non-stop action from first page to last. Once again Lenora gave us a great balance of action, intrigue and romance. Eli is such a wonderful troubled hero and Gena is the perfect match.

I highly recommend this book. It can be read as a stand alone but is a much fuller story if you read book one (Secret Agent Minister). Looking forward to reading book 3 (Code of Honor). Great Job Lenora! ( )

Secret agent Eli Trudeau grieved the loss of his wife and baby. Then he discovers his son is alive--and living with an adoptive mother, Gena Malone. Despite the secrets and lies, Eli can't deny the truth: Gena loves the boy. Yet Eli grew up without a father and won't do that to his own child. When someone dangerous comes after them, Eli takes Gena and his son deep into hiding. As he grows closer to them, he discovers that he's more than just a maverick operative. After his dark, troubled past, he's finally found faith and family. And he'll do anything to protect both.
