Little Pig Robinson lives on a farm with his aunts until they send him to market to sell and fetch. He is picked up by a sailor and brought to sea where he is to be eaten. The ship’s cat helps him escape to the land where the Bong Tree grows, and later brings her beloved owl there. This story makes a backstory for Lear’s “The Owl and the Pussycat” ( )
