Just got back from the States (Sittenfeld's The man of my dreams, a bit of a disappointment after Prep but not bad). Now I'll return to one of my favourite places in fiction - the harsh prose and fantastic characters of Sara Lidman's "Jernbane-eposet" series. I'm just starting Lifsens rot, ... I stuck on the east coast it seems! My 4th book for this challenge is Mannen i mina drömmar (The man of my dreams) by Curtis Sittenfeld.
I really liked Sittenfeld's debut Prep, a very clever take on coming of age and class set in a fancy private high school. This has the same strong sense ... Kentucky
