What can I say. Gene Autry was my favorite cowboy as a kid. Gene loved his horse Champion and all of humankind. When he had to fire his gun, he was able to shoot the weapon out of the hands of the bad guy (yes, usually a male!). What a cowboy he was! This book is just another in a long list of tales for kids.

Here, Gene intercedes between a small gathering of Arapaho humans and non-Native American humans who are besetting to inflict harm on one another because of actions by a scheming unsavory person who cares not about them. ( )
