1. boka som systematisk tok for seg arbeidet på Massespektrometrisk laboratorium ved Fysisk Institutt, Universitetet i Oslo. Boka ble til som en følge av vanskeligheten med å tilegne seg kunnskapen som trengtes for å jobbe med mikroskopet og analysene av materialet. Jeg skulle studere videre og ville gjerne at etterfølgeren skulle få en lettere innføring enn jeg fikk. Følger laboratoriearbeidet fra prøvetillagning til ferdig databehandlet tallmateriale. Grundig forklaring for bruk av laboratoriets spesialskrevne Fortranprogrammer for ulike regneprosesser. Boken var i daglig bruk i årevis etterpå.
