Work detailsVampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber (2003)
Didn't like this unfortunately... the writing was far too immature for it to be enjoyable. Will be giving up on this series. ( )Raven has always been different. She's a goth girl and would love to meet a vampire. In fact when she was little she wanted to be a vampire when she grew up. A new family has moved into the mansion that everyone thinks is haunted. A boy her age lives there and he looks different too. Rumors are circulating that he's a vampire, that he hangs out in cemeteries, that he won't go out in the daylight, etc. So of course Raven must find out what is going on. This was a light and easy young adult novel. It didn't have a lot of depth or vampires. Since the book I bought has the first three in the series I will keep reading. Otherwise I would probably stop. This book is a simple, goofy read if you are looking for something light to pick up. Don't get me wrong, this book is very stupid, but it is so stupid it is funny. I read the next one just for the fun of it more than for its literary value. Awful. The writing was bad, the characters were one-dimensional and the story was unoriginal and overdone. It's another boring day in dullsville. Well thats what Raven calls it. This book is about how a girl wants to be a vampire so badly. She thinks that the place that she lives in isn't fun at all. Well all that changes when she meets Alexander. He doesn't go out in the sun or goes to school. Raven wants to know who he is. Better yet what he is. I think you should read this book if you like mystical beings. If you like how one person changes everything you should read it. You should also read this book if you like adventures. This book is both written and is in anime. So if you like comics then read the anime. I would sugest the people you like things that aren't real they should read this book. no reviews | add a review
