As for the above--Gaiman's was a bit simple by his standards, almost young adult level. ... ... out half read book*, "Do you want that in a bag?" er, no, Ill be reading that. I think it was Bujold's Sharing Knife: Beguilement finished it by the time I got home, had to reread it for the second one. I've confused a couple of shop assistants about what I was paying for due to my habit ... ... people who really don't think much of them having been married. In a way, not much 'action' occurs when compared with The Sharing Knife: Beguilement but (hard to express - I probably will come back to reword this bit) in a way more 'internal action' and consequences of relationships occurs. ... ... as she is careful to make the rules and mythologies of her universe consistent and interesting.
Her new series, The Sharing Knife, is also very good, though I've only read the first book--I'm waiting for the second to come out in paperback. ... Smith. I had to go out and buy the sequel The Fox in hardback straight away.

I'm also extremely fond of The Sharing Knife books. I realise they probably irritate most of her mil sci-fi fans, but there are few writers out there (in any genre) who can match her skills in ... 86. The Sharing Knife Beguilement by Lois McMaster Bujold. 3-1/2 stars. My first Bujold, but definitely not my last. It didn't get more stars only because there were a couple of brief spots in the middle when I thought it was a bit boring, but overall it was well done. Also, most of the ... ... which was surprisingly good, and The Woods*, my first mystery by Harlen Coben, which was also good, and am now reading The Sharing Knife: Beguilement, my first fantasy by Bujold and Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks, which I am very much enjoying.

I am currently reading The Sharing Knife: Beguilement by Lois McMaster Bujold which I'm really enjoying. I have already started figuring out how to acquire the second book without paying ... ... bogged down by a mystery plot, and this fits the bill. Great characters who were strong and wounded, solid romance.

I might try to get the second volume from a library if they have it, as I'm in my post-graduate pre-job state and am thus refusing to shell out money for hardcovers. I would second that Juliet Marillier writes well fashioned romantic stories, and the Sharing Knife by Lois McMaster Bujold with its sequel, provide a fantasy read that is solid stuff, but the romance angle is most prominently at the forefront. Try to ... ... the whole series, because I did enjoy it very much. I also recently purchased a new book by Lois McMaster Bujold, The Sharing Knife so I'll see if I like it or not. ... I vaguely remembered the plot and had forgotten all the (complicated, and interesting) subplots.

The Curse of Chalion and its sequels or The Sharing Knife and its sequel, except that the latter doesn't come out till June 26. ;) I finished The Sharing Knife volume #1 yesterday and was distressed to learn that volume #2 isn't even on sale till July 1 of this year. I moved on to The Curse of Chalion. ... appears (apparently in 2009, I think I read on her website). 1 Bled Dry by E ... Bujold's one of the better romantic speculative fiction authors. The Sharing Knife: Beguilement is the first volume of a split book which works just fine as a standalone romance (the second half will be out in July 2007.)
Romantic science fiction really doesn't get as much attention as ... I have Beguilement on my Amazon wishlist. And am currently reading Paladin of Souls, though I'm really just getting started. From what I hear, this is the best book of the Chalion trilogy, so I'm quite excited about it! ... both good. She has just published in HC a new book that is also fantasy and the start of another new series. It is called Beguilement, book 1 of the Sharing Knife series. I haven't read it yet because it is still in HC, but will probably pick it up when it goes into paper.
