Eden, Liberty Meadows Book One (edition 2006)

This strip, about a nebbish veterinarian (Frank) and a beauteous albeit naive animal psychologist (Brandy) who run an animal sanctuary with a wide variety of talking critters, tries hard to be "Bloom County". It just doesn't quite get there. The humor and situations are often stiff and contrived, and for such a gifted artist, Cho doesn't seem quite comfortable with the demands of a funny animal strip. Nevertheless the strip is sometimes charming and whimsical. But what really floats my boat is Cho's artistic depiction of Brandy, one of the most drop-dead gorgeous women in comic strips.
