Every month when the moon is full a killer stalks Pikes Field, Kentucky. He kills ruthlessly and indiscriminately. As rumors fly about ‘werewolf’ murders sheriff Green is stumped, but he knows one thing - it ain’t no werewolf. Before it’s done he will realize how wrong he is.

Different Seasons is a pretty standard werewolf story on the surface - on a full moon a werewolf is overcome by the need to hunt, attacks and then eats its human prey. What separates Different Seasons from your standard werewolf story is the level of violence, depravity, gore and sex, plus the fantastic artwork of Tom Moran. Trever Palmer doesn’t pull any punches with his werewolf. It’s a cruel and vicious killer, inhumanly strong and without sympathy or mercy in its wolf form. When not in werewolf form he is a ‘standard Joe’, working to feed his family and fit in with the community while dealing with the guilt of his actions. The characters are down to earth small town folk afraid to go out after dark, especially when the moon is full. The novella is action packed and hard to put down. This is definitely a book to read unless you have a weak stomach or are offended by vivid violence and sex. ( )
