This was a beautiful book and I loved being able to come across an artist who I never heard of yet enjoyed the paintings. Carl Brenders has some beautiful and breath-taking artwork that does this book more justice since he is able to get down to the very detail whether it is hair, tree grain, sand or the bubbling froth of the oceans while making it so realistic that you can almost imagine that it is a picture you are looking at.

The best thing I thought about this book was the Table of Contents. Unlike some other art books that include pieces without their name the book's Contents gives you the name of the piece and then also the title of poet and poem if one is shared on the page with it for easy access. The ones that are left out from the Contents is of course Bible verse and quotes.

And finally I loved how the quotes and the Bible verses plus the poetry within the book was used to balance the artwork that was given. Each quote, poem or verse related either to the animal subject or the title of the piece while tying in with either nature, Creation or both.

This is definitely one coffee table book that will catch and hold the eye, especially for nature-lovers or Christians who need a bit of inspiration from the natural world around them. ( )
