Okay! I finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Friday. Now I am rereading The Water Dancers which is set where I live.
The library is holding Twilight by Stephanie Meyer ... ... out of the library and then I only buy it if I think I may want to read it again someday.
Now I am going to reread The Chamber of Secrets. I just bought a UK paperback on ebay. ... which I loved, The Golden Compass, Genesis of Shannara and my super special 1st editions of The Sword of Shannara and Harry potter and the chamber of secrets came in todays mail :) My 1st edition of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets just got here today. I'm seriously going to kill my bank account on completing my set. Thats what i get for boycotting the series at first. i've managed to read Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkhaban, and The Goblet of Fire, all in 6 days - and now working on The Order of The Phoenix... ... read the book.

As a longtime reader of fantasy and sf, I'm finally caving in and reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, 9 years after reading the first. I saw the movie of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets before reading any of the books. I was never really interested in the books until after I saw the movie. Needless to say the books were much better :-)
I also saw the movie of Ella Enchanted before I read the book. In that case I ... The Prisoner of Azkaban was the first Harry Potter book I read after seeing the movie version of The Chamber of Secrets. I thought it was fantastic!
