I understand, I think, the popularity of this. But I'm a mother, and I cannot accept that it's ok to for someone to reject loving parents like this character did. Also, I think I understand the goal of the creators, to make a variety of people and things that are dark be beautiful and powerful - but I did not find them to be so. I found the settings especially to be threatening. There are, in my opinion, better fantasies to support black pride. But then, I'm not black, so you judge for yourself. Ok, that's all I can say. ( )
