( )My favourite character in the Artemis Fowl series is without a doubt Mulch Diggums and this little book (it's only 59 pages which took me 45 minutes to read), which was specially written for World Book Day, is a Mulch Diggums special. It more or less concentrates on him as he attempts to steal a priceless tiara and gets set up by Artemis Fowl in the process. After catching Diggums attempting to steal what later turns out to be a fake tiara, Fowl then recruits Diggums to steal the real tiara which has just been stolen by six of Diggum's dwarf criminal pals. These six dwarves are working undercover in an Irish circus and in between shows, pulling off burglaries. But what none of them know is that Foaly the Centaur at the LEP has been alerted to Diggums and Fowl teaming up so he sends Captain Holly Short up to see what's going on and to stop whatever criminal plan is being cooked up. While the burglar dwarves are busy doing their circus show, Diggums, Fowl and Butler are in the rear circus tent preparing to steal the tiara. But Captain Short is on the way and she isn't happy. Neither are the six dwarves when they realise that someone is trying to steal their tiara... no reviews | add a review
