... a touch of ancient history - not my usual forte but I'm enjoying this volume immensely.
Otherwise I've made it into the The Second World War: Their Finest Hour by Winston Churchill. After the rather dull ending second book of the first volume (the Norway campaign could have been dealt in ... ... sources. And I've read general WWII histories like Wint & Calvocoressi's Total War and Churchill's gripping The Second World War. I'm now after something that will give a more recent view of the events surrounding Dunkirk. I'm also keen to get hold of further accounts of WWII, ... ... Finally! I have been working on this book for...I've forgotten how long! Over a year, probably. Now I can move on to Their Finest Hour. History:
