This is a book about the Seddon Street Gang (a bunch of school kids who are playing out the natural curiosty of childhood) and their antics during their childhood days in rural New Zealand , during the depression, A great book to reflect on if you were fortunate enough to grow up in those times when kids were kids, swimming in rivers , making shanghai's, raidign vege gardens and ganging up on the kids from other streets in the small town, as well as making believe they own the railway station and local factory. The Seddon Street Gang comprise four boys and one tomboy Polly, these children live in Seddon Street , Waharua small town of New Zealand. The gang constantly wage childish war on anyone who stands in their way of having innocent fun. Great read if you want to know more about small rural town goings on. ( )
