I'm Tracy Beaker, the Great Inventor of Extremely Outrageous Dares - and I dare YOU not to say this is the most brilliant story ever!I've bought a big fat purple notebook for writing down all my mega-manic ultra-scary stories in. But especially for my own story. Of how my foster-mum, Cam, has turned out to be a real meanie. No designer clothes, when I really need them. A pokey flat, and a horrible new school. No wonder I keep bunking off ... Still, it will have to do until my real mum comes and gets me. And until then, no-one is going to be better at the Dare Game than me!… (more)

Tracy has been fostered by Cam. However she is not pleased when Cam does not buy her desighner clothes nor take her to McDonalds. School is even worse with Vomit Vagley and Nast Roxanne. Tracy decides to bunk off and hang around a deserted house. She meets two boys there too. Alexandre who is a weedy wimp and bunked off because all the boys at his private school bully him calling him " Gerkin" and Football who naughty so he is sent away from sc so he is sent off. They all play the dare game and Tracy is always the winner. Meanwhile Tracy's mum comes back. She looks exactly as Tracy pictured she would but although she acts she is'nt the Hollywood actress she was hoping. She decides to live with her mum after she drowned her in presents but Tracy discovered that her mum is a pub singer and goes to the pub every night, leaving Tracy in the living room. Tracy realises there is one thing Cam does for Tracy that her mum does'nt. Love her. She goes back to Cam's and promises to never bunk off again. There is no point any-way because Alexandre wants to do well in his exams and goes back and Football is allowed to go back and his shouting mum tells him to go back. Cam and Tracy make better friends. ( )
