This Facsimile is limited to 500 copies. The Original By The Way Book was printed in 1908 on poor quality paper. This edition is a faithful copy of the one issued in 1908 with minor differences in paper quality and color. The Globe By the Way book is one of the rarest of Wodehouse's books because of its format - paper covers ad few pages - and its early date. There are only 4 or 5 copies of the original in existence. 

By the Way was a daily humour column, usually related to events of the day. On September 9th, 1902 Wodehouse took the job, quitting the Bank and started his life as "wild lone" freelancer. The Globe By the Way Book is  a selection of the columns that Wodehouse wrote while he was on the staff.
