>9 I think Alexandra Fuller's books aren't so much novels but memoirs that read like novels.
Out of Africa is another beautiful memoir, ... OK, that list was way too long! I've deleted it. If anyone wants the alphabetized list, tell me and I'll send it to you.

6. Power of One (Book Club selection, and a re-read)
I originally read this several years ago and considered it one of my top five favorite novels, ever. This time when I read it I found it entertaining but lacking in depth and substance and, well, just lacking. I don't know how much of this ... I've read The Power Of One twice, and I think it's a very good starting over book- the narrator starts over on things again and again while remaining himself. Pretty cool. I gotta go with The Power of One, its one of the books that, though it might not be known as one of the best works of literature ever, I still find myself going back to it again and again.
Though the classic Count of Monte Cristo deserves an honorable mention as well :) I just started reading The Power of One and am loving it. I have almost finished How to Succeed in an Ensemble. #14. The power of one by Bryce Courtney
and
#15. Tandia by Bryce Courtney
Another revisit. I read both of these books during High School, and I loved them. They are just as good now as they were then.
If you have seen the movie with Stephen Dorf the book is 10 times better. Th ... ... Pierce on that note.

Strange Piece of Paradise
The Power of One
The Voyage of the Beagle No idea, but I want another hint, so I will guess. The Power of One? The Power of One: A Novel by Bryce Courtenay Hmmm, off the top of my head I'd say Power of One for my fiction pick, and Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China for nonfiction. ... Dilemma
