( ) I can't believe this is the same author that wrote the Hannibal Lecter series, one of my favorites. This book was the complete opposite. I hated it. Well, hate is a strong word, but I really didn't like it. I didn't care about any of the characters. The prose was clunky and plodded along terribly. I had to force myself to continue reading at times. While the Lecter series absorbed me, this one pushed me away.
