This was the conclusion of a 2 book series (Night Sins) and I was glad it ended the way it did. Crime does not pay! Love this author. ( )

Initially, too many characters introduced, so I didn't know cops from lawyers, but I was soon gripped by the dogged persistence of Ellen North to see that justice was done.
It was rather wordy in places but that didn't put me off too much as the characters came into their own during the story.
Very good ( )
