Things get really serious for Aisling, there are a lot of revelations in this book, her relationship with Drake improved and it just shows us that open communication is the key. She is in a total mess here, stepping on responsibilities she doesn't want but somehow because of fate, a certain duty (burden) is upon her. Gabriel gave up challenging Drake for Aisling to be his mate due to some reason unconfirmed. This story started where the second book left off, there are recurring characters, they are also consistent. Jim is still into his comments and Aislings "neutering" threats are still present. I also noticed the number of times she said "I'm a professional, dammit!" when she's under stress. In this book she shows her innate powers, and she's able to control her fire with the help of Drake. Sex scenes are wild and burning (literally) and I love how Drake changed, his character is a great development. The mysteries continue and the author never fails to impress. 5 stars! ( )So far, my favorite in series. Everything hits the fan. Lots of fun for those who enjoy supernatural fiction. Light My Fire was my favourite of the Aisling Grey, Guardian novels so far. I really couldn’t put this book down, although I did find things got a bit confusing at the end. Aisling has moved to London to begin her Guardian training when things begin to go awry. Surprise, surprise! As in the previous two novels, trouble seems to find Aisling no matter where she goes. Through no fault of her own (or at least not much of her own) she finds herself being hunted by imps, demon lords, dragons and even the International Guardians’ Guild. Jim the trusty demon is faithful and funny as always, and we finally learn a little bit more about what’s going on with Renee the ever-present taxi-driver. The story is fast-paced, and filled with enough twists to keep you guessing right up until the surprising end. Events at the end of the book seem to be shifting things in a new direction for Aisling, and I’m looking forward to Holy Smokes, the next installment in the Aisling Grey, Guardian series to see where these new paths will lead I like this series, fun, flip, and a quick read. I will always buy Katie MacAlister. Third in cute romance series featuring Aisling Grey. I really enjoy her demon Jim (Effrajim), who is in the form of a Newfoundland dog and provides great comic relief. no reviews | add a review
