... very few books I've ever vowed NEVER to read. I can't imagine trying to torture myself with it.
I'm presently reading Peter and the Starcatchers which isn't a romance but is still very interesting. I'm reading Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry. I'm reading Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm going to have to see if my son wants to read it when he's done with his Warriors books. I've finished off another from my list, A NASCAR Holiday, and plan at least one more before the ending of December, Peter and the Starcatchers. Unfortunately I didn't totally finish off this challenge although I have moved some of the ones I didn't get to over to my TBR Challenge for next year ... ... the Lost Boy by Paula Fox which was my Go Review That Book! pick from a couple months ago I haven't gotten to yet.
Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry which is the last book on my primary TBR Challenge list for 2009.
Not sure after those what will be next. ... finally finished Bio of an Ogre and wish I had never read it *sigh*
I have one left on my Primary Challenge list, Peter and the Starcatchers, which I plan to read at some point over the next four weeks. Then I will be on to making my TBR Challenge list for 2010 which will probably ... I didn't hear as an audio, but both my kids LOVED Peter and the Starcatchers as a read-aloud. And I like it, too!
The whole family enjoyed Holes as a read-aloud, too. ... times after that, and read it to my daughter last year.
I'm sure my kids (ages 7 and 10, boy and girl) will vote for Peter and the Starcatchers for a fast-paced, fun adventure. We just finished it, and the kids were literally begging for more every night. It was a huge hit! ... Society

3. Why did you pick this book to read NOW? I picked up Inkheart out of a stack of books at work ... Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry ... should go for it, but there are also 13 of them so you might not want to go all in. Depends on your budget.
I love the Peter and the Starcatchers series and the Inkworld books -- definitely good choices.
And those are the only ones on your list I've read.
I love, love, love The ... I recommend 39 Clues, Swindle, Masterpiece, and Peter and the Starcatchers.

I enjoyed this so much more than I had expected to (not that I expected to dislike it; I was fairly neutral). I had almost purchased it several times before finally picking up an autographed copy used, then almost started it reading ... ... 2 different authors don't always go so well? Overall, I tend to avoid them just for that reason. but I haven't read Peter and the Starcatchers Peter and the Starcatchers series by Dave Barry is pretty good if you're inspired to read more about Peter Pan. Ohh Peter and the Starcatchers that's a great suggestion. My oldest son and I read that, when he was 8 or 9 and we both really enjoyed it. I think my 7 year old would really like it too and there's nothing too terribly scary for my 5 year old. (She has one of those Fisher Price mp3 players and ... ... Ejiofor (the actor), and he's not particularly excitable, but I don't think he's particularly soporific, either.

83. Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson
This YA book was a written as a prequel to Peter Pan. A very fun read with lots of action and humor. I just finished Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and I've started on Peter and the Shadow Thieves. Then it's on to the conclusion of the trilogy, Peter and the Secret of Rundoon (and this one doesn't seem to be working on Touchstones). It's a prequel to Pete ... ... trilogy I've just started on, there's Dave Barry's and Ridley Pearson's "prequel" to Peter Pan. The first book is Peter and the Starcatchers and there's a good bit of ocean adventure. It's for children and YA but adult-readable.
Here's something a little off-beat and maybe not ... #9, alcottacre, don't let Peter and the Starcatchers be only for your daughter--you should read it, too. It was fun. A nice back story to how Peter got his powers. ... Chronicle of Barset by Anthony Trollope because having now discovered Trollope, I NEED to read it all! (paperback)
