This edition is very critical of the George W. Bush administration, and the fact that it was written while Bush was still in office leads me to believe that the authors were incapable of being academically objective in their assessments. This in turn casts doubt upon the quality and independence of the content in the rest of the textbook.

An introductory textbook for a subject like public administration should not be partisan in any way. (
