This is a wonderful compendium of poems specifically chosen by their creators for this collection; thus Poet's Choice. But it is more than just a collection of poems for, as the editor notes in his introduction, the book is a 'double revelation' of both the poem and a comment about the poem sharing the writer's experience. The combination makes this a great book for both readers of poetry and poets of all types. If you are both a poet and a reader it is a double treat. ( )
