All the interesting bits are waved away as the work of incomprehensible aliens. Unsatisfying. It also seemed about twice as long as it should have been. ( )Has a unique atmosphere, touches of humour and some spine shivering scenes This is a great book - the plot moves along at a fantastic rate, the connections between the various story threads are revealed brilliantly, and there are some great ideas explored here. I couldn't put this down and, after finishing it, rushed straight out to buy "Against Gravity" by the same author. Highly recommended! OK, so the characters are a bit 2-dimensional and the SF a bit far fetched, but somehow I still managed to really enjoy this, pre-publication. Probably would appeal to fans of Peter Hamilton. no reviews | add a review
