While this is still a good series. I don't know that I will be finishing it. In each new book I am finding them harder and harder to read. I will probably be stopping with this book. ( )

I've been eagerly awaiting Crimson Moon, and I was definitely not disappointed. This is the 5th in the series, if I'm not mistaken--if one includes the novella in the anthology Cravings, which I do.

Crimson Moon gives me everything I'd hoped for: a reunion with Ross from Killing Moon and an update on Megan's research; a tantalizing new wrinkle for the series; and of course an engrossing story.

Johnny Marshall, young out-of-control werewolf, is nearly dead and on the verge of being framed for murder after a bar brawl, so he changes his identity and his life. Now, he's Sam Morgan, a modern-day environmental Robin Hood, living off his investments, and stealing from environmental abusers.

His latest mission is to steal pre-Columbian art from Wilson Woodlock, but when he sneaks into the house, the man's daughter Olivia is waiting for him with a proposition--that he use his talents to help her recover a magic elixir for her family.

From there, it's a fast-paced story of intrigue and romance, with both of them concealing truths, knowing the other is hiding something, and falling in love anyway.

It's also a very emotional story of family love and loyalty--Olivia risking everything to save her brother, father, and uncle, and Sam contacting his brother Ross for the first time in years.

The secondary characters are just as real and complex as the main characters, particularly Olivia's father and her brother Colin. There's also Barbara, who I can't say much about at the moment without giving the story away, but she's also a very interesting character.

There are so many things in Crimson Moon that I'd like to see more of in future books--the elixir, as well as the characters.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I hope it continues for a long time. ( )
