This is my least favorite book in the Casteel series. (That's a pretty pathetic statement!) All I can say is, I'm glad I'm not V.C. Andrews' sibling since all of her books seem to involve brothers and sisters who fall in love. Ick. ( )

It's been a long time, but I remember it being somewhat okay. ( )

The Casteel series was by far my favorite of the VC Andrews series. I read these as a teenager and now even in my adulthood enjoy picking them up and reading them again!!

The only reason I liked this book more than Fallen hearts is because I really liked the main character. I really felt for her after the accident. I thought the story, in general, was a bit over the top though. Before this book, I was ready to put the Casteel Saga to rest. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0671729438, Mass Market Paperback)

Stunned by tragedy, desperate and alone, Heaven's daughter clung to the frailest of dreams!

The car crash that killed Heaven and Logan left Annie Casteel Stonewall orphaned and crippled. Whisked off to Farthinggale Manor by the possessive Tony Tatterton, Annie pines for her lost family, but especially for Luke, her half-brother. Friend of her childhood, her fantasy prince, her loving confidante...without the warm glow of Luke's love, she is lost in the shadows of despair. When Annie discovers Troy's cottage hidden in Farthinggale's woods, the mystery of her past deepens. And even as she yearns to see Luke again, her hopes and dreams are darkened by the sinister Casteel spell...treacherous, powerful and evil!
