This non-fictional text is full of extra textual features that enhance the information presented in the book. These features include diagrams, tables, charts, and mini comics. These features highlight important information in a way that appeals to visual learners. In addition, I liked the way this book was organized. This book was broken into eight chapters on different subtopics relating to weather. Organizing the book this way makes it easy for readers to find information on the specific topic they are looking for. The main idea of this book is to inform readers on the basics of the science behind weather and how to read the weather. For instance, the book gives instruction on how to make your own barometer. ( ) This is a funny book that can teach students about weather forecasting. Each page is not only colorful but includes experiments, tons of facts, and notes from the author on what it's like to be a meteorologist. I think this a great book to educate readers about what a meteorologist is but also learn about clouds, winds, wild weather, air pressure, the sun, and more. Teachers can use this book to come up with experiments and activities for students as a lesson or let the students freely explore on their own. no reviews | add a review
