This book contains more project ideas that can be used to test out a new yarn. Unfortunately, there a loads of errors in the instructions, so be sure to check for errata on the publisher's web site. Most charts int he book have errors and the publisher provides a pdf for corrections. You'll need patience to open each separate pdf, but do check for errors before beginning any project.
