Loading... Frosty the Snowmanby Steve Nelson, Jack Rollins
None. This is an excellent choice to read around the holidays. I read the book first and then I sing it the second time. Students do not realize that the song was a book first. The illustrations in this book are beautiful and the book itself is large. The print is large for younger students. ( )I was surprised how many kids were familiar with the song. We read and sing the song about Frosty the snowman, who magically comes to life one day and plays with all of the children who created him. We talk about coal, corn cob pipes, and the reason Frosty has to hurry on his way (to escape the sun!) The illustrations in this version are like a Pixar movie - very realistic and three-dimensional. After reading the text, we sing the song. Frosty the Snowman by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins and illustrated by Richard Cowdrey is another large and colorful book for a familiar friend. Frosty looks as realistic as a snowman can be! Good rendition of favorite song, children can sing along!, Large book with large colorful illustrations, good for group storytime no reviews | add a review
