This book is also recommended to English language learners in China. It is a perfect beginning book to read for Children. It is also a count book to help children learning count numbers. ( )

This book is about a mother duck who is counting her ducklings everyday and loses one each day. Until the last day when they all come safely back to her.
This book would be good to read to children who are working on their counting because they can count the ducklings as you read, so the lesson would be interactive.
I really enjoyed this book, it had really good illustrations.

Summary: This is about a mother baby duck that has 5 little ducklings. At a different time one starts to disappear each time one goes off to play. The mother duck starts to go looking for each of them and starts to call until each of them end up coming back to her.

Personal Reaction: There were a lot of different rhymes that were going on in the book, and that would definitely help keep the kids interested in the story.

Classroom Extension- I feel like this book would defiantly help kids learn how to count. I feel like this book is really good for kids if they are learning how to count.
