This story is about a maid who takes everything too literally, she dusts the furniture with dusting powder instead of cleaning the dust off of it. She also cuts the towels up to change them instead of putting new towels in the bathroom. At first the people she works for are angry, but when they taste the pie Amelia baked for them as a surprise, they decide to hire her and be more careful what they say.

Media: ink and wash

Uses: -teach children that making mistakes is okay
-funny read aloud
-can help start conversation about thinking about what we say and why words are important

Genre: Fantasy
Critique: This is a example of fantacy because the events that take place are not realitic, such as Amelia cutting up nice towels and not getting fired. ( )
