Whilst honeymooning on Venus, Robert Grandon's new bride Vernia is kidnapped by a race of drug crazed sea pirates known as the Huitsenni.
Grandon gives chase, and following several scrapes, and minor adventures along the way, arrives at the hidden port which is the Pirate's strong hold! Allying himself with a group of rebels they manage to overthrow the ruling government, but during this time Vernia is carried off to the North.
After seizing her back in an epic sea battle, both Grandon and Vernia are again captured before being rescued by a fleet of allied nations now working along side the Huitsenni rebels.
