I really loved Prozac Nation, and this one is another great read - it goes so fast and her voice is just fabulous. ... be like to be in a similar place. Some of the books I am thinking of are all of the books I have read by Jodi Picoult, Prozac Nation, An Unquiet Mind, Me & Emma, The Memory Keeper's Daughter, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, They Cage the Animals at Night, and White Oleander. What ... ... didn't have to write like everyone else.
Since then, I have become a psychotic fan of Hunter S. Thompson.
Also, Prozac Nation really helped me out during my own battle with depression. It was reassuring to know I wasn't alone.

8. The Crimson Petal and ... ... have that bad a story or life. It's like the "I experimented with drugs & sex" story, but not really memoir material. Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel captured depression and drug/alcohol escapism much better (& truer) in a narrative format.
