One of my favorite children's books - especially for the little dinosaur lovers. Carrick does an excellent job of portraying dinosaurs - as exciting and scary as they are - from a child's point of view. My oldest son requested this one over and over. ( )

When his older brother talks about dinosaurs during a visit to the zoo, Patrick is afraid, until he discovers they all died millions of years ago.[return]This has good size comparisons between zoo animals and dinosaurs. Might help kids realize how big dinosaurs actually were. ( )
