I was lost in this book for quite some time, exploring each of the delightful bedroom scenes and reflecting on my own childhood as quite the messy kid myself. I am also sincerely fond of books that explore adults funny phrases and other colloquialisms, and I typically find their material to be both entertaining and insightful to many kids. When Wendell does not clean up his room, a whole herd of pigs comes to live with him. This is a really cute book about a boy who does not like to clean his room. One day, he comes home and finds a pig in his bed. His room keeps getting messier, and more pigs keep showing up. At first, he thinks it is great. The pigs play monopoly with him, and he likes them. As time goes on, the boy decides that he really needs to clean his room. The pigs move out, but the still come back sometimes to play monopoly. This story is funny and teaches a lesson about cleaning your room. GRL M,1 copy GRL M,1 copy no reviews | add a review
