An older Nora Roberts but still fun. Victoria "Tory" Ashton has stepped into her father's footsteps as Sheriff and she's trying to decide what to do with her future, when Philip Kincaid breezes through her town she issues him with a speeding ticket and when he disagrees she tosses him in the local jail, mostly for really annoying her. THe relationship progresses from there.

Yes, it's predictable, but it's also a lot of fun. ( )

Book description
When Phillip Kincaid was scouting locations for his new movie, he didn't expect the long arm of the law to point him in the right direction. But when he was jailed for speeding, he realized Friendly, New Mexico, was just the godforsaken little town he'd been looking for. And Victoria Ashton, town sheriff, was just the woman he'd been waiting for. Tory knew she had a tiger by the tail when she tossed Kincaid in the stammer. How could she possibly remain impartial when every look, every touch, made her want to throw caution to the winds? It was lucky that both Cupid--and Justice--were blind.
Haiku summary

No descriptions found.

Once Phillip Kincaid fixed his mind on something, he set about getting it. As soon as he'd stopped in Friendly, New Mexico, he knew it was the perfect locale for his film. And no-nonsense Sheriff Victoria Ashton looked pretty good to him too! But Tory was giving Phillip a run for his money - making him all the more determined to show her that even a lady of the law can surrender willingly... to love. (Bestseller)… (more)
