I was fortunate to get a couple of classes with Gordon Smith when I was at Regent College (He's now at Ambrose). I picked this book up used somewhere and pulled it down from my shelf this week. This is Vintage Smith and culls together insights into the spiritual life. Smith is a sacramental Christian Missionary Alliance guy who gave a good chunk of his adult life to resourcing the two-third's world with theological resources. He has the wisdom of a spiritual director, the knowledge of a theologian and heart of a pastor. Get anything he writes. ( )
