Would You Rather Be a Bullfrog? (1975)

Although this is not my favorite Theo LeSieg (Dr. Seuss), I think it would make a fun addition to a pre-k - 1st grade classroom. It asks the reader to think about if they could be one thing or another, which would you rather. It is a good book to use in talking about comparisons as well as in the end it is best to just be yourself. ( )

Beginning readers are asked to ponder these–and a host of other odd choices–in this charming, provocative book by Dr. Seuss that encourages children to let their imaginations fly.

Summary: Narrator asks the reader which it would like to be. The story goes through many different things, makes reader think about differences in objects.

This book is about a kid who is trying to decide who he would rather be. This book teaches kids about trying to decide between two animals and picking one animal they would rather be.

Very cute book that the kids will love. ( )
