63. The Blind Assassin 174. The Devil and Miss Prym by Paulo Coelho- this is way better than the Alchemist, which I hated. It's very message oriented, but it's interesting and well written and I just really liked it. Although the ending left me a bit cold. 65. The Devil and Miss Prym
An interesting take on the battle between good and evil. I found the first half difficult to get into, and very slow moving, although once things really began to get moving I got more into the book.

Not a terribly productive 1001 month for me, and hopes aren't high that April will be much better. But May is looking to be a month ... ... contrary in my last post on the March thread, I was bored and unwilling to do schoolwork last night so I sat down and read The Devil and Miss Prym in one sitting! A very easy read, and pretty fascinating if a little predictable.

I accidentally packed it at the beginning of the move, and instead of trying to figure out what box it was it, just ... ... Hmm.
Anyway, I see that your love affair with Coehlo seems to be cooling a bit. That's a shame. Did you ever read The Devil and Miss Prym? I thought that was one that you had and enjoyed, but perhaps I'm mistaken.
Cheers! Regarding Coelho: I found The Alchemist rather lame, thought The Devil and Miss Prym was better but really not my sort of book, and have heard (from friends with similar tastes and views on Coelho) that Veronika Decides to Die was actually rather good. I still got rid of my copy anyhow, life's ... ... the end I assure you that I felt let down in a big way. The story was great and the writing was good, the end sucked.
