Whether you are a collector of rare US gold coins, or just enjoy looking at stunning photos of US gold coins, this is THE reference book for you. Truly a classic work on US gold coins.

A major fault: for a work of this importance, it would have been nice to have seen a much higher quality production. The gold stamped titles are fading, corners on every copy I've seen have been bumped, glue spatters and runs are clearly visible under the 'leatherette', very poor quality paper was used, and worst of all, the book came without a dust jacket, so that the pasted on photo reproduction of a St. Gaudens double eagle would either get rubbed, or more likely, fall off, just as mine has. It's too large to easily fit on a clear mylar jacket, as well. ( )
