In Japan, "What's Michaeling" became synonymous with pretending to be doing one thing to cover-up having failed at doing something else. Michael pretends to dance when he misses a prey. My cat would lick his paw when he offered me the wrong one to shake by mistake. a bit too raunchy for many in puritain usania but some good observation of cats -- actually i have volumes 1,2 and 4 published by kodansha.

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0613790936, School & Library Binding)

Described by Wizard magazine as "Japan’s version of Garfield, Heathcliff, and Krazy Kat all rolled into one," What’s Michael? is graphic fiction like no other, blending slice-of-life comedy, both subtle and slapstick, with off-the-wall flights of fancy. But whether the situations are believable or bizarre, the giggles are real and rapid-fire. From the horror of guests who won’t leave to Michael’s night on the town, all paths lead to laughs!
