Steinberg's second book continues her experimental work and does so deftly. The title story, which comes last, is particularly good. When I took her class, she explained that "all writing is a little bit obsessive" and that is very clear from reading her work. Some may be off-put by her bold stylistic choices, and admittedly, at times they are hard to work through, but she is a fine writer and it's worth checking out. ( )
