I've decided I like chick-lit after all, as long as it's in German. This was the hilarious tale of a woman who decides to start a new life after her fella gets a bit too close to the Swedish presenter of a spectacularly tacky reality TV show. It all takes place over a couple of days, which leaves plenty of time for rumination on a whole range of issues, and for reflecting on events that had gone before. Look out for a spectacularly toe-curling dilemma moment towards the end of day one. I always knew the myth about Germans having no sense of humour was rubbish, and this is further proof. Laugh-out-loud funny. ( )
